Alleged shoplifter charged after almost £1,000 worth of alcohol and chocolate stolen from Tesco

Jordan Stevenson will appear before Teesside Magistrates’ Court later this month

An alleged shoplifter has appeared at court charged with 10 counts of theft. Jordan Stevenson appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on New Year’s Eve.

It’s alleged he stole almost £1,000 worth of goods from Tesco in Stockton in an alleged crime spree dating just over a month. The 35-year-old appeared before magistrates where he was given conditional bail ahead of a sentencing hearing on January 27.

He indicated pleas of guilty to all 10 charges. Stevenson, of Hampden Way, Thornaby, is charged with the following 10 offences:

  • On November 18, 2025, at Stockton, stole alcohol to a value of £120 belonging to Tesco
  • On November 19, 2025, at Stockton, stole alcohol to a value of £120 belonging to Tesco
  • On November 21, 2025, at Stockton, stole fuel and chocolates to a value of £130 belonging to Tesco
  • On November 29, 2025, at Stockton, stole alcohol to a value of £65 belonging to Tesco
  • On December 6, 2025, at Stockton, stole alcohol to a value of £64 belonging to Tesco
  • On December 11, 2025, at Stockton, stole alcohol to a value of £46.25 belonging to Tesco
  • On December 13, 2025, at Stockton, stole alcohol and food items to a value of £25 belonging to Tesco
  • On December 15, 2025, at Stockton, stole alcohol to a value of £294 belonging to Tesco
  • On December 18, 2025, at Stockton, stole food and alcohol to a value of £63 belonging to Tesco
  • On December 23, 2025, at Stockton, stole alcohol to a value of £113 belonging to Tesco

He will appear before magistrates later this month.
