Mangaluru’s Bajpe police register a case against inflammatory content in the post made on an instagram page

The Bajpe police have registered a case after two inflammatory posts were made against those accused of assaulting a person who was recently booked for the illegal transport of beef.
In an Instagram post, the account holder “Muslim_leader” posted photographs of two persons and questioned why the unruly behaviour of these “sanghis” were not curtailed. Further, the names of four persons were taken and they were accused of assaulting a Muslim resident of Mullarpatna and his daughter. A comment, by a person named “insta4ama”, was made to the post stating that the accused deserved treatment similar to one given to Suhas Shetty. The 30-year-old Shetty was murdered on May 1 in Bajpe police station limits.
The Bajpe police took suo motu note of the post and the comment intended to breach peace among communities.
The police registered a case under Sections 351(2), 351( 3), 352, 353(2),192 of theBharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy said the accused will soon be traced and arrested.
