Scot Grove in Hatch End is finally expected to reopen having been closed since November

Several road closures are set to disrupt residents of Harrow this month while major utility and other works are carried out, including one in Hatch End that is expected to remain closed for nearly two months.
While Scot Grove in Hatch End is finally expected to reopen on January 23 – having been closed for water works since mid-November – there will be further disruption in the area as Buckland Rise is set to close for essential water works on January 19. It will remain closed until early March.
Two roads in Stanmore will also be closed for a couple of weeks during the month whilst gas works are carried out.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) has found all of the ongoing and planned road closures that are happening in January, according to one.network. Whilst some closures will only take place overnight, others will see roads shut for weeks or even months at a time.
Below is a breakdown of all the road closures both ongoing and planned that will be in force throughout January and beyond. Residents should look out for diversion routes to avoid facing substantial disruptions.
Harrow road closures in January
- Scot Grove (Hatch End): Road closed from November 17, 2025 to January 23, 2026 for water works
- Buckland Rise (Hatch End): Road closed from January 19 to March 6 for water works
- Jellicoe Gardens (Stanmore): Road closed from January 5 to January 16 for gas works
- Chartley Avenue (Stanmore): Road closed from January 19 to February 2 for gas works
- Summit Close (Edgware): Road closed from January 6 to January 9 for water works
- Malvern Avenue (Rayners Lane): Road closed from December 31 to January 5 for water works
