Forecasters reckon North Staffordshire is set to see further wintry conditions this week after snow has fallen across the area. Yesterday saw flurries all across Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle and the Moorlands.
It came as a yellow warning for snow and ice had kicked in at noon on Sunday with that set to run until noon today (January 5). Now the BBC has predicted North Staffordshire will see even more snow later this week.
It’s also set to remain very cold across the area with temperatures of -6C even at 8am this morning.
Across the UK today and there are scores of snow and ice warnings while in Scotland amber alerts for snow have been issued. However the Met Office says wintry conditions could turn to rain this week.
In North Staffordshire and the BBC has forecast the next bout of snow will fall on Friday (January 9) from 9pm to around 2am the next day. Before then and the Beeb says there will be some light rain tomorrow, sleet on Wednesday night, before those wintry conditions make a return on the approach to the weekend.
