The Kasimedu police arrested a 60-year-old man after he misbehaved with a 21-year-old woman.
Police said R. Raghavi, a resident of C.G. Colony in Kasimedu, was working as a make-up artist. On Saturday night as Raghavi was returning in a Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus, proceeding from Broadway to Ennore, P. Chinnadurai, a resident of Beach Road, who was travelling in the same bus misbehaved with the woman when she tried to get down at the Kasimedu bus stop.
When she informed the bus crew immediately, he was handed over to the Kasimedu police who arrested him under four sections including Prevention of Atrocities Against Women Act.
In another incident a 25-year-old auto driver was arrested by the Teynampet All Women police for misbehaving with a 14-year-old girl.
The police said M. Neelakantan, a resident of TNHB Quarters of Nandanam, tried to misbehave with a 14-year-old girl who had come to her relative’s house in the TNHB quarters. Based on the complaint filed by the girl’s mother, the police arrested the accused.
