A man remains hospitalised with a serious head injury after a crash in Coventry. He was found injured at the junction of Walsgrave Road and Grantham Street.
Police cordoned off the area around Gosford Green at around 2pm on Friday (January 2). Paramedics rushed in and found that a man had been struck by a car and was critically injured.
He was treated at the scene and rushed to University Hospital Coventry. He remains in a serious but stable condition, West Midlands Police said.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 1.47pm on Friday to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at the junction of Walsgrave Road and Grantham Street in Coventry.
“Crews found a man, who was the pedestrian, critically injured. He received advanced life support and trauma care at the scene before being conveyed to University Hospital Coventry for further treatment.”
Police said the car driver remained at the scene and is helping with enquiries. Anyone with information or footage of the collision is asked to contact West Midlands Police on 101.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit is keen to hear from anyone who was driving in the area at the time and may have seen what happened. Call 101, quoting log 2368 of January 2, if you saw anything or if you have dashcam footage.”
