Plymouth Argyle Women 1 Watford 3: Greens beaten by promotion rivals

Plymouth Argyle were beaten for just the second time in 13 FA Women’s National League Southern Premier games this season as promotion rivals Watford scored three unanswered goals from the 77th minute onwards to win 3-1 at Home Park.

The Greens led at half-time after a 28th minute goal from striker Una Lue, who finished off a low cross from the right by Olivia Francis.

Had Argyle gone on to win the game they would have taken over at the top of the table from Bournemouth for at least a day, with the Cherries not in action until Sunday when they have a home match against Hashtag United.
