Tributes have been paid to people across Plymouth and the wider area in the latest funeral notices.

Among them is Shaun Kevin Nichols, who passed away at home on December 22 aged 65.

Shaun was a much-loved husband, father and grandfather and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Shaun’s funeral will be held on Wednesday 14th January 2026 at The Park Crematorium, Room 2, at 12.30pm, followed by a gathering at Raffles, Mutley, from 1.30pm.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death our Mum, beloved mother of Duncan, Andrew, Jenny, Chris, Nicola and David. Sue passed away peacefully at Westlands Care Home in Teignmouth at the age of 101. She lived independently for over 40 years in the beautiful village of Stokeingnhead, Devon, and she loved her life there. She had an adventurous life, including her role in WW2 when she was based in Ceylon/Sri Lanka intercepting Japanese messages to be sent to the code breakers at Bletchley. We would like to thank all the people in Stokeinteignhead who supported her and enriched her life, and also to all the carers at Westlands who looked after her so well.
