Revenue Minister to distribute ‘pattadar passbook’ in Anakapalli on January 5

Home Minister V Anitha announced that Revenue Minister Anagani Satyaprasad will tour the district on January 5 and will participate in several developmental activities. Mr Satyaprasad will visit the newly opened Revenue Division office at Addu Road Junction and is scheduled to take part in a public meeting at Nakkapalli, where he would distribute new pattadar passbooks to the beneficiaries.

Addressing a press meet on Sunday, Ms Anitha said that lands hold emotional significance for every individual. It gives them a feeling that they are proud owners of that area. The previous YSRCP government made a mockery of it by printing the former CM’s pictures and names on it. The NDA government is issuing new passbooks with a ‘Rajamudra’ (government symbol) on it, she stated, adding that around 25,000 people will receive the pattadar books in the first phase.

Ms Anitha further added that during the YSRCP government, electricity charges were increased nine times. The present NDA government had deceased it by 13 paisa per unit.

Earlier, she undertook an extensive tour of the Payakaraopeta Assembly constituency. During her visit to Darlapudi village, she laid the foundation stone for a road to be constructed at a cost of ₹1 crore with NABARD funds. When locals brought to the Minister’s attention the issue of drinking water shortage, she directed the officials to resolve the drinking water problem within 10 days. She also assured that road construction works would begin soon. Later, she laid the foundation stone for another road to be constructed between Saripallipalem and Rajayyapeta at an estimated cost of ₹1 crore under NABARD funds.
