A South Korean national was allegedly stabbed to death by his live-in partner from Manipur at a residential complex in Noida’s Sector 150, police said on Sunday.
The incident came to light after the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Greater Noida reported to the police on Sunday that a man, identified as Duck Hee Yuh, had been brought to the hospital in a deceased state. Following the call, local police reached the hospital and initiated an inquiry.
Police said that the man was admitted to the hospital by a woman identified as Lunjeana Pamai, a resident of Manipur’s Thangal village. During questioning, Pamai told police that she stabbed the man with a knife, leading to his death, officers said.
Police said the couple two had been in a live-in relationship for the past two years.
“The couple had gotten into a fight the previous night after which the woman ended up killing him with a knife. They used to get into fights often,” ADCP Greater Noida Sudhir Kumar said.
During the preliminary investigation, police found that the deceased was living at ATS Pious Hideaways in Sector 150. The victim was originally a resident of South Korea and had been working as a branch manager at a private firm in India, officers said.
A case has been registered at Knowledge Park police station.
