A Sutton Coldfield man has been arrested and charged after a police operation in the area this weekend.
Fagen McCarthy was named as police revealed details of the stop on Springfield Road, Sutton Coldfield yesterday, Saturday, January 3.
The 21-year-old, of Sutton Coldfield, was arrested and later charged with possession of a knife and driving without a licence or insurance.

It came after patrolling police found a knife and an illegally modified e-bike capable of “travelling faster than the law allows.”
West Midlands Police recovered the knife and e-bike as they made an arrest at around 2pm.
The force said: “We’ve recovered a knife and an illegally modified e-bike after our Operation Skybridge officers stopped a man in Sutton Coldfield.
“Officers out on patrol became suspicious of a man on Springfield Road at around 2pm yesterday.
“A knife was recovered, along with an e-bike capable of travelling faster than the law allows.”
McCarthy was bailed to appear before Birmingham magistrates on January 20. “The Skybridge team work alongside communities, where they address their needs and concerns, and then target the main offences in that area,” the force added.
