Teen stabbed to death, mother attacked in Outer Delhi; 1 arrested | Delhi News

A 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death and his mother was attacked allegedly by a group of men in Outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri area late on Thursday night, said police, adding that one of the three accused has been arrested.

The boy’s mother told reporters that he had gone out to carry out some errands when she heard a commotion outside their house. “I started shouting at them to leave my boy alone when he started stabbing my son with a knife,” said the mother. “When I tried to intervene, he stabbed me too. I ran for cover in a nearby shop but my son couldn’t escape,” she said.

The main accused, identified as Vikram (30), who has been previously booked in six other cases, was arrested on Friday. According to police sources, the initial line of questioning revealed that the boy had allegedly developed an intense dislike for Vikram after he found that his mother was in an illicit relationship with him. The two allegedly had a heated conversation before Vikram stabbed the boy, said sources. However, police also added that the investigation is at an initial stage and they are on the lookout for other motives as well.

During questioning, Vikram allegedly told police that he committed the stabbing along with two of his associates. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the remaining accused, officers said.

According to the police, the information was received at the Sultan Puri police station around 11:30 pm on Thursday that a group of boys had stabbed a minor. When police rushed to the spot, they found the teenager lying on the ground with multiple injuries.

The injured boy was shifted to SGM Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
