Police have declared themselves “third time lucky” after managing to seize a car which had previously evaded them.
Hyndburn Police pulled over the driver of a Honda Jazz in Dale Street, Accrington, on Saturday night (January 3). The motorist was reportedly identified as being disqualified from driving.
Officers said the vehicle “was suspected of evading us on a couple of previous occasions in the Blackburn Road area”. They added that the driver would be reported for motoring offences.
Hyndburn Police posted on Facebook: “This Honda Jazz has been seized by ourselves last night, after being stopped on Dale Street, Accrington and the driver was identified as being disqualified from driving.
“The vehicle was suspected of evading us on a couple of previous occasions in the Blackburn Road area during the evening – third time lucky!
“The driver will be attending court in the near future and the vehicle has been seized.”
