Urgent SHEIN marketplace safety alert for product due to ‘reproductive damage’

Serious health issues could take place if you come into contact with it

The affected product

A major safety alert has been issued for a popular item sold on the SHEIN marketplace.

The alert has been issued for Tototang Slime Shop – Honey Clear Slime sold by a third-party seller (Foshan Nanhai District Barbarian Bull Toys Firm).

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has warned of a chemical risk from the product, saying the “migration of boron from the toy slime is too high.”

They warn that ingesting or having excessive contact with boron “may harm the health of children by damaging the reproductive system.”

There are approximately 226 affected products in Ireland.

The brand is TotoTang Slime Shop. T he batch number is AM-TT-202508. The Product identifier is sh2308165335715559. The type/model number is Tototang-25.

The CCPC have advised what you should do if you are in possession of one of these items.

They say: “If you purchased one of these products, please stop use immediately, discard the product, and keep it out of the reach of children. If you wish to contact SHEIN for a refund or have any concerns or questions about this product this can be done by contacting SHEIN customer services by email at eurcsteam@shein.com.”
