Officers from West Midlands Police were involved in a crash near University Hospital Coventry. It happened on New Years Day (January 1).
It is believed a woman was being transported to UHCW for urgent medical care when the crash occurred. Footage viewed more than 567,000 times on TikTok shows two West Midlands Police cars badly damaged.
Officers smashed into a large pillar and a number of plant pots near A&E. One can be heard saying on TikTok: ‘Can you give us a bit of space, please, mate?’

West Midlands Police told CoventryLive that two of their cars had skidded on icy roads as they approached University Hospital Coventry. Nobody was reported to be injured.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “Officers were transporting a woman who required urgent medical assistance. On arrival at University Hospital Coventry, two police cars skidded on some ice and collided with a pillar and some plant pots. Fortunately, no one was injured.”
