Teenage girl threatened ‘with knife and gun’ in Coventry – everything you need to know
Emergency response in Coventry: West Midlands Police were called to a property on Terry Road in Lower Stoke on New Year’s Day. Officers arrived at approximately 6:00 p.m. following reports of a serious confrontation involving weapons.
Threats made to a teenager: The incident involved a teenage girl who was reportedly threatened with both a knife and a firearm. This frightening encounter allegedly took place at the hands of a group of young males.
Multiple arrests made: Police detained six individuals in connection with the threats made during the evening. Five boys, aged between 15 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm.
Arrest of an adult woman: In addition to the five teenagers, a 47-year-old woman was taken into custody by the attending officers. She was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remained in police custody the following day.
Weapon recovered for analysis: During their search of the scene, investigators discovered and seized a large knife. The weapon is currently undergoing forensic examination to gather further evidence for the case.
Ongoing investigation: Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident to ensure all facts are established. They have assigned log number 3636 of January 1 to the case for tracking and reporting.
